Silent Art Auction – The end to a great year!
Bidding in the Algoma Highlands Conservancy's Silent Art Auction is now over and art is on the way to the homes of our many friends and supporters. A BIG thank you to everyone who made the Art Auction a success – especially Carla Marcellus, who undertook this ambitious project for the AHC, the talented artists who generously donated their work, AHC staff and volunteers who worked behind the scenes, and the Canadian Bushplane Heritage Centre and Stokely Creek Lodge who hosted the art and auction. We look forward to planning and running more great events and interesting AHC projects in 2012, keep checking this space!

The Algoma Highlands Conservancy is continuing to work on behalf our members to promote conservation, silent-sport recreation, environmental education and research, and to promote sustainable forest management in the broader Algoma Highlands region. We’ve been very active in developing new proposals to acquire funding against our mortgage debt and hiring an environmental education coordinator. Recently we have been successful in obtaining funding for several new initiatives including Enhancing Species at Risk Habitat on Power Line Rights of Way and creation of an Interpretive Trails Map.
Throughout all our efforts we have enjoyed significant "grass-roots" support from many individuals. If you believe in our cause and want to become more actively involved in it please click the "Membership" button on the left side of your screen for more details. Of course we are always willing to accept donations. We sincerely appreciate your interest and generosity in our collective efforts – THANK YOU!
